Since 1979 Mike Mattera has been working with CNC machine tools, CNC controls, programming systems, design software and RS232 communications. Mike has been involved in the operation, setup and supervision of a variety of machining processes. He has written numerous technical documents & produced video training materials for teaching CNC programming, machine tool operation and the use of Cad/Cam systems for CNC programming and design. Tips For Manufacturing is the primary supplier for CNC Software’s “Mastercam University” video training site, where he has “Professor” status.
Working for major manufacturers of CNC controls, 3-4-5 axis milling & turning centers and Cad/Cam software developers, Mike has gained valuable experience in all areas of manufacturing. Working with customers like Hughes Areospace, General Dynamics, Harley Davidson, GM and a multitude of other companies that do everything from part production to prototype development.
